Our Team
The Team Of Great Doctors Behind Mulwaree Doctors
Dr Ghassan Alhashem is an experienced General Practitioner with over 13 years of expertise in medicine.
Dr. Arshiya Aslam, who completed medical school in India in 2009, is an experienced General Practitioner with over 15 years.
Dr Ruby finished medical school in Iraq in 2004 and currently working as General Practitioner.
Dr Asif Shaikh is a highly experienced General Practitioner with over 25 years in patient-centred care, holding an MBBS and MRCGP (UK).

Patient Resources
We are a bulk billing practice to patients holding a valid Medicare card. Some services are excluded and an out of pocket expense will apply. Fees will vary depending on the service. Payment is required at the time of consultation. We accept cash, credit card and EFTPOS payments.
Private Patients
The following fees apply to patients who do not hold a Medicare card or OSHC/OVC membership;
- Short consultation $50
- Standard consultation $80
- Long consultation $120
Some pathology testing will incur additional fees.
No charges for iron infusions, women’s health services, or other standard consultations.
Fees now only apply for skin procedures.
Additional Fees
Some of the services excluded from bulk billing include
- WorkCover
- RHCA Medicare cardholders
- Specialist consultations *

- Pap smears
- Pre-employment medical assessments
- Driver assessment form
- Medical reports
- Skin cancer checks
- New patients who do not have a Medicare card
The fees will vary depending on the complexity of the service and procedure required.
*Please note that our clinic provides general practice services only and does not offer specialist consultations.
Our practice is committed to preventative care. As part of this commitment, you will receive reminders for services. Our medical software sends out automatic reminder text messages to mobiles the day before your appointment. We will seek your permission for you to be included on our reminder systems. If you do not wish to receive any of these messages, please let our staff know.
